Default Gas Jets

I have a Westinghouse dual fuel range with a 6 burner gas top. There are 2 big burners a large single ring and a triple ring that are just not putting out as much heat as I'd like. Does anyone know if its possible to use larger jets from a different burner or if its possible to bore out the existing jets?

Having been in the gas business for over 50 years I think I may have your solution. The small little brass plugs in the gas manifold that the burner base sits on is actually called a "gas orifice" and is precision sized for a particular sized burner and the btu value of the gas being used.
First off pull the burners, then use a sharp instrument like a needle to clean this orifice GENTLY. Reinstall the burmer, if it still isn't hot enough for you you need to find, maybe rent a set of precision drills, they are numbered.
Measure the orifice with one of the drills that fit the hole then go up only one size at a time until you get the results you want. If you increase the gas flow you will need to adjust the "primary air" intake adjustment on the base of the burner also, shoot for a slightly soft blue flame but not yellow tipped. It too much air it will be noisy and too sharp, too little air and it will be yellow (incomplete combustion) and soil your pots.
Buena Suerte Amigo.

Hey Sidebyte, thats great info, thank you. I'll try cleaning them out first and then look at the drill option.
