Great job there on the bug, and I really like the color. I used to drive a 72 bug, pumpkin orange, that my sister bought, then decided she had no use for.
Have any snow yet up in MN yet this year? I used to travel to Brainerd a lot for work and spent some time up in Bemidji too. Without fail, every time I was there between Oct and March, there was a good snowstorm..

As you can see, the original color was yellow, it is now officially Viper Blue Pearl. Started out I was just going to get it painted and stuck back on the road. I had a long wait for the paint guy, so I started plinking away at other bits and pieces. More or less ended up where I am now. Since these were taken, I have rebuilt the front suspension tower, cleaned and painted the trunk area, applied a couple of layers of Second Skin sound deadening. I have the new, lowered front spindles installed and working on the disc brake kit for the front end.
No snow, in Bemidji, yet. Temperature almost all day didn't crack over 30 degrees though, so any time. Dog found one of her old tennis balls out in the yard this morning. . .it sounded like a croquet ball when she dropped it at my feet. |
