That reminds me - if we wanted to save our own copy of a program written on the old teletypes, we could run a paper tape listing - you'd get a roll of yellow paper tape with a bunch of holes in it, and save that and if your program went missing on the mainframe, you could just run that tape through and in a few minutes, have your program back online. I think I still have some of those old tapes! Makes me laugh just thinking we had to put up with that! But at the time, it was amazing technology to me.
