We use a Delorme system on our laptop for travel and the maps with directions on my G1 droid.
I like the laptop option as I can see where we're going, where we've been, make notes about certain locations and many other options that are perfect for our photo outings.
That system is not so good for just a driver but excellent with two and I am The Navigator.
